Center for Open Chaplaincy

healing in caring community

Open Source is a way of focusing on our interdependence as the foundation for how we live. There is no one way to experience this and no one approach that works for everyone. Open Source Chaplaincy Care begins with this recognition in supporting individuals, families, organizations, and communities to meet whatever is encountered with a sense of meaning and purpose.

Spirituality is an aspect of humanity by which we make meaning of our lives. How we do this is wide open. Many people find strength and inspiration in multiple sources of meaning and purpose.  My name is Judy. I am a Board Certified Chaplain who offers an integrative approach to healing. Please feel free to explore this site as well as our companion site for growing caring community,

That moment when you offer a helping hand or one is offered to you, that is a moment of healing. No one has to explain that to you. You feel it. You know it. You get that we're in this together.

How do you face difficult times, tender and confusing, perhaps enraging or scary? There is no one way that works for everyone. Center for Open Chaplaincy creates opportunities to touch into your unique way of meeting such times with dignity, hope, and purpose. We meet you as partners in caring community.

We offer inclusive, personalized, spiritual care, which activates healing in caring community. We also offer support and creative dialogue groups as well as educational and resilience programs and events.

Founder Judy Fleischman, a Board Certified Chaplain who has served in a wide variety of healthcare settings, says,

"I have seen that to include all of who I am and you are on a path of healing is to include the whole situation, which means all the ways you and I express ourselves."

We hope you will find comfort and encouragement in exploring this approach to healing.
